Actor Kathryn Hahn met weekly with someone she describes as a real-life witch to help her fully embody the role of Agatha Harkness in the show "Agatha All Along." According to Hahn, the witch's goal was to "de-trope" the common portrayal of witches by emphasizing themes of community and connection with nature.
The Marvel miniseries, created by director Jac Schaeffer, is a spin-off of the Emmy-winning Disney+ series “WandaVision,” which was also developed by Schaeffer.
Kathryn Hahn reprises her role as Agatha Harkness from "WandaVision" in "Agatha All Along," alongside Debra Jo Rupp, who returns as Mrs. Hart. The cast also includes Aubrey Plaza, Joe Locke, Patti LuPone, Sasheer Zamata, and Ali Ahn.

The nine-episode series debuts its first two episodes on Disney+ on Wednesday. The story continues from the events of "WandaVision," with Harkness still trapped in Westview, New Jersey, under a magical trance.
With the help of a goth teenage witch known only as "Teen," Agatha Harkness escapes from Westview and is urged to reclaim her powers by taking on the trials of the legendary "Witches' Road." Together, they recruit other witches to form a new coven and embark on a quest for greater magical abilities.
For creator Jac Schaeffer, telling a story about women in power was key. She assembled a team of writers to explore the diverse supernatural abilities witches possess across mythology and popular culture.
